Machaton Private Camp - Timbavati

Opened in August 2016, Machaton Private Camp is an intimate and exclusive camp offering a secluded and private safari experience. Next, to owning a private safari lodge, there is no more private way to enjoy a safari in the Timbavati.

The camp consists of a main building which features a lounge, kitchen and covered verandah, as well as 3 individual luxury suites. Each suite offers a large en-suite bedroom, a well-appointed full bathroom also with an outdoor shower, a dayroom with a sumptuous daybed and a large terrace with a plunge pool, allowing you to retreat and refresh in secluded luxury.

All areas of the lodge and grounds are exclusively booked for your use only. The main advantage of staying at a private exclusive-use safari lodge is spending all your time with your friends and family, and not having to adjust to other guests. This is the ultimate in living your own safari dream.

Serving as a self catering camp, Machaton allows you to completely relax and become one with nature. The privacy that the camp lends you, ensures that you create memorable moments with your friends and family... as if time stood still.

Privacy is guaranteed thanks to the careful placement of the suites and privacy walls, ensuring a tranquil and intimate stay. Safaris are conducted in Machaton Camp’s private 4x4 vehicle. Machaton Camp is booked on a sole-use basis, including 2 housekeepers, groundsmen and a guide. Bookings can also be made to include a chef.
